Description-Integrated environmental control system that can independently maintain humidity levels from <10 to >98% RH and temperature from <40-135ºF (0-55ºC). The chamber has a working volume of 13 cu. ft. (368 l) and features built in humidity and temperature control systems. Designed for storage, conditioning, testing, weighing and fabrication in electronic, electrostatic, biomedical, pharmaceutical and other applications.

Description-Designed to accommodate equipment and material requiring excellent visibility, precision, stability and a large internal work area (13 cu. ft., 368 l). Independently maintain humidity from <10 to >98% RH and temperature from 64-135ºF (18-55ºC). Uses include weighing, testing, storage, fabrication and aging in biomedical, pharmaceutical, automotive, electronic, electrostatic, DOD, university research and other applications.
Humidity / Temperature Controllers & Control Systems
Many applications require precise control of an environment. The ETS 500/5000 Series includes humidity and temperature controllers along with controllers for other linear processes. These systems are available in single and dual channel versions allowing control of two separate processes such as humidity and temperature and are also capable of providing single and multiple RAMP/SOAK programming functions. Initially designed for use with ETS controlled environment chambers, glove and dry boxes, the controllers may also be used to retrofit existing systems or with other sealed chambers. Each controller includes a plug-in sensor to monitor the environment while controlling heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification or other functions. When used along with an ETS Operating System, the controllers are capable of providing precise humidity and temperature control across a wide spectrum. The heart of each system is a microprocessor PID control module which allows each process to be “tuned” to the user selected set point. The controllers may be used as stand-alone systems or with optional software which allows computer control and tracking of the environment.

Description-Designed for use in virtually any industry, the ETS 5000 Series Microprocessor Humidity Controllers and Temperature Controllers are designed for use with ETS humidity chambers, temperature chambers, dry boxes and glove boxes. The controllers may also be used to retrofit existing controlled environment chambers, customer designed chambers and with environments from other manufacturers.
Each controller includes a plug-in sensor assembly to monitor the environment while the unit controls heating, cooling, humidification or dehumidification. When used along with ETS Operating Systems, the controllers are capable of providing humidity and temperature control across a wide spectrum.
The microprocessor control module allows each controller to be “tuned” at a user selected set point providing extremely accurate control . This is accomplished by pulsing the appropriate operating system and allows the controller to maintain much tighter tolerances than seen with comparator type controllers.
The ETS 5000 Series controllers are designed to be used as stand-alone systems or with the optional ETS Software Package which allows computer control and tracking of the environment. Depending on the version selected, the controllers also provide single and multiple ramp/soak functions.

Humidity/Temperature/Dew Point Meter
Description-The Model 5640 is designed to provide fast, accurate measurements in virtually any situation. This precision instrument is capable of measuring relative humidity over the range of 5 to 95% R.H. and temperature from 32 to 122°F (0-50°C). Accuracy is ±3% for humidity and ± 0.7°F (± 0.4°C) for temperature which can be displayed in either °F or °C. Dew point is easily calculated at the touch of a button.
The indicator has a memory function to display preprogrammed MINimum and MAXimum values and operates from a single 9V alkaline battery with typical operating life of 100 hours. When battery life drops to approximately 10 hours, the “BAT LOW” indicator activates.

Description-The Model 5646 is a low-cost indicator designed for fast, accurate measurement of relative humidity, temperature and dew point. The Model 5646 operates from a single lithium battery with a typical operating life of 100 hours.
Operating Systems – Humidification, Dehumidification, Heating & Cooling
The heart of any controlled environment is the operating system which provides the appropriate conditions required to maintain the chamber at the user selected set point. Operating systems can be called upon to heat, cool, humidity and dehumidify for short-term and long-term applications. ETS offers a wide selection of operating systems allowing the end user to match the system to what is available at their facility. We also offer ready-to-use self-contained systems. ETS operating systems may be used with ETS environments or other sealed enclosures.

Chamber/Glove Box/Dry Box Dehumidification (Drying) System – 1lb
Description-The Model 5461 Desiccant/Pump Dehumidification System is a closed-loop drying system that uses a small diaphram pump to circulate air from a sealed enclosure through a 1-lb. indicating calcium sulfate desiccant. Moist air is drawn from the chamber through the drying column and returned to the chamber. This process is repeated until the desired humidity level is achieved. Levels <10% RH are achievable in sealed chambers up to 15 cu. ft. Designed for use with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 5461 may also be used with other sealed enclosures.

Glove Box Humidification System (Ultrasonic)
Description-The Model 5462 is a an open-loop humidification system that utilizes an ultrasonic humidifier to generate a cool mist which is blown into the chamber by a fan through a 1” hose until the desired humidity level is achieved. The Model 5462 requires the use of deionized or distilled water. The self-contained 1/2 gallon tank can humidify a 20 cu. ft. sealed chamber to near 100% R.H at ambient room temperature. Designed for use with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 5462 may also be used with other chambers.

Chamber Cooling System (CO2)
Description-The Model 563 is a cost effective cooling system that allows rapid lowering of the temperature within a sealed environment for short-term cooling applications. The system converts liquid CO2 to a gas to provide cooling down to 32°F. A tank of Liquid CO2 with dip tube is supplied by the user.
Designed for use with ETS 500/500 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 563 may also be used with other sealed enclosures.

Dry Box/Glove Box Dehumidification System (Dry Gas)
Description-The Model 5465 is an open-loop drying system consisting of a valve assembly that allows a dry gas such as nitrogen, CO2 or dry air to purge the chamber until the humidity is lowered to the desired level. Humidity levels to <5% are achievable. Designed for use with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 5465 may also be used with other sealed environments.

Chamber/Glove Box/Dry Box Dehumidification (Drying) System – 2.5lb
Description-The operation of the ETS Model 5471 is similar to the Model 5461 but includes a high output pump and a 2.5-lb desiccator column. Humidity Levels below 10% are achievable in chambers up to 20 cu ft. Designed for use with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 5471 may also be used with other sealed enclosures.

Chamber Humidification System (Ultrasonic)
Description-The Model 5472 is a high capacity humidification system. Mist is generated by an ultrasonic transducer and blown into the chamber by a built-in pump through a 1” plastic hose. The system includes a water deionizer column for use with in-house (tap) water and a 5-gallon tank for free-standing operation. Chamber/Glove Box Cooling Systems (Thermoelectric 500-1000 BTU’s)
Description-The Model 5473 is a series of solid state cooling systems that utilize the Peltier effect to reduce temperature. A 110-CFM circulating fan is used to distribute the cool air within the chamber. Very precise temperatures can be maintained using this system.
The Model 5473-150 is capable of providing 500 BTU cooling. The Model 5473-300 is capable of providing 1,000 BTU cooling. Heat load, insulation and chamber size will ultimately determine the level of cooling obtained. Designed for use with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 5473 may also be used with other sealed enclosures.

Chamber Heating System
Description-The Model 5474 is an integrated heating system incorporating a 500 watt heater, thermal overload protection, 110-CFM circulating fan and weather-tight AC accessory outlet box mounted in a 16” x 13” x 3.5” enclosure. Optional HEPA Filtering is available.
The Model 5474 is typically mounted to the back wall of the chamber. Maximum temperature is 128°F. The system, designed to be used with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, may be used with other sealed enclosures.

Dry Box/Glove Box Self-Regenerating Dehumidification System
Description- The Model 5478 provides low humidity levels to chambers, glove boxes and dry boxes. The system is an open-loop consisting of a dual-column
regenerative desiccant dryer operating from house air at 50-100 psi. A timing circuit alternately directs the pressurized air through one desiccant column sending most of the dry air to the chamber and the remaining portion to the other column to dry the desiccant. This alternating action provides a continuous supply of dry air. The Model 5478 is capable of maintaining less than 10% R.H. in a 13 cu. ft. chamber. Designed for use with ETS 500/5000 Series Controllers and Chambers, the Model 5478 may also be used with other sealed environments. A pump (shown above) can also be added to allow the system to operate as a free-standing system.
